Lawn Bowls

The Hopetoun Bowls Club was formed in 1924 and since then has been a welcoming venue for local and visiting lawn bowlers. Visitors are more than welcome to enjoy the synthetic and grass greens, as many do at the week-long carnival in April that attracts over 230 bowlers from across the country. The club fields Saturday and mid-week pennant teams (training on Wednesday evenings) during the summer months, as well as holding many club events and winter social bowls on Sundays. Also, check out the very enjoyable barefoot bowls program – with over 20 teams taking part every year, it’s a great way for anyone of any age to learn bowls and get to know everyone in town.
