Hopetoun & District Historical Society

The Hopetoun Historical Society is a passionate group of locals dedicated to preserving and telling the story of Hopetoun’s long and proud history. The society has a growing collection of artefacts dating back to the settling of the district over 170 years ago at their home at the old Primary School. A must-see on a visit to Hopetoun is the Corrong Homestead which not only tells the fascinating story of the settlement of the area but also has a large number of exhibits on display. The homestead is open most Fridays from 9 am to midday and is available for group bookings.
